Is SCIY's font size too small for you?

In some browsers, SCIY's font size can look too small to comfortably read. If this is the case for you, or just for variety, most browsers will allow you to temporarily increase (or decrease) the size of all the text. For Firefox (Mac & Windows) and Safari (Macs), just hold down the command key (apple key on the Mac) and hit the 'plus' or 'minus' keys. It should instantly change the font size that appears on your screen. - It's likely there's a similar function on other browsers too. Don't worry, it's not changing anything on the actual SCIY website itself, it's all just happening locally on your own computer. Hotlinks within Articles & Comments

It's easy to create hotlinks in your article posts, even in comments. E.g., to create the hotlink for the Gebser blog, first type a title for the link, then select it and click on the little chain link icon above, and finally enter the url in the entry pane that comes up. Like this: Gebser blog The last step is to check the hotlink when we 'Preview' our post before publishing it, to ensure that it functions as desired. This is especially important to avoid broken links within comments, since they are non-editable after posting. Doing so will make it more likely that our readers will check out the sites we're recommending. So, I suggest we include hotlinks in our standard protocol for article and comment posts - especially for links we really want folks to follow up on. |
