The theme which Hayles elucidates in her book My Mother was a Computer are pretty much in line with my own concerns in the context of the future evolution of consciousness in light of the integral yoga. The wide ranging scholarship of N. Katherine Hayles is pretty amazing. In her work My Mother Was a Computer, she considers both Jacques Derrida, Stephen Wolfram, and Harold Morowitz in some depth in relationship to meta-physics, code, and the regime of computation.
